erika_sanelyThe start of the long weekend. I"m off tomorrow to spend a couple of days with my parents (it's Dad's birthday tomorrow) and my 15 year old cousin is staying with them as well, as her parents have taken her younger sister to a sport's carnival and Cousin L is baby-sitting.
I love hanging out with my younger cousins. I don't have a close relationship with my cousins my age, but the three young ones - L, her brother J and sister G - and I get on like a house on fire. So well in fact, next year I'm taking L over to New Zealand to visit my brother (and for L's first plane trip to be really memorable.) Once the others are at the same age L is when I take her, I'll take them over as well. But first it will be L's turn. She's already excited about the trip, even though I've told her we won't plan anything in detail until December.
